Three more members of the BNP Chairperson's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee (FAC) have been appointed as members of the party Chairperson's Advisory Council. This was informed in a press release signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the party today, Monday (June 24). Former ambassador Sirajul Islam, party's international affairs secretary Humayun Kabir and Kurigram district president Tasvirul Islam have been appointed as members of the advisory council.

A newly formed Chairpersons Foreign AFC was reconstituted on 15 June to look after foreign relations. On the same day, BNP included 17 more people in the newly formed Special Assistant to the Chairperson's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee.

The new appointees to the Assistant to the Chairperson's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee are Ashraf Uddin (Former Ambassador, Canada), Enamul Haque Chowdhury, ANM Ohid Ahmed (Former Deputy Mayor, Tower Hamlets), Anwar Hossain Khokon (International Affairs Secretary), Rashedul Haque ( International Affairs Secretary), Nahid Khan (Joint International Affairs Secretary), Tofazzal Hossain Tapu (Japan), Hafiz Khan Sohail (Washington), ASMG Shah Farid (Pennsylvania), Badrul Alam Chowdhury Shiplu (California), Dolly Nasir ( Italy), Golam Farooq Shaheen (New York), Shafiq Dewan (Germany), Shamim Parvez (Germany), Haji Habib (France), Kabir Ahmed (Ireland), Md. Naemul Basir (Austria).
With the addition of 17 new members, the number of advisory committee stands at 35. On March 19, 2016, the Sixth Council of BNP formed a 502-member National Executive Committee and an 81-member Chairperson's Advisory Council.

A 10-member Chairperson Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee and an 18-member Special Assistant to the Chairperson Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee were formed on June 15.

Meanwhile, BNP leader, former central leader of Chhatra Dal, eminent educationist, ex-struggle organizational secretary of Sylhet city Mahbub Chowdhury expressed sincere congratulations and best wishes for being selected as the advisor of BNP International Secretary Mr. Humayun Kabir. In the press release sent to the media, he referred to Humayun Kabir as the meritorious son of Sylhet in the Foreign Affairs Committee and his duties have been fulfilled. It will make the team stronger, united and dynamic. Mr. Humayun Kabir had a lot of advice, cooperation and responsible role in the past movement as well. He thanked BNP Acting Chairman Deshanayak Tarek Rahman for this.
